These Are the Best Homegoods in Every State, According to Pro Shoppers
The most devout HomeGoods shoppers know that some stores are much better than others even if they’re just a few miles apart. It all comes down to things like store size and how well the shelves are organized in addition to the most important factor, which is the mix of inventory that’s delivered.
From curb appeal to scanning what’s on hold, there are definitely some green flags to pay attention to that can tip you off to whether you’re shopping at one of the "elite" HomeGoods locations. But to further narrow down the best of the best HomeGoods, I sorted through a heap of Google reviews in each state to find the ones shoppers love most. When there was a tie, I looked to the HomeGoods that had the highest amount of positive reviews to determine the tiebreaker.
At the moment, HomeGoods doesn’t have any presence in Alaska, Hawaii, or Wyoming, so those states are missing from this list. But for all others, here’s where you’ll find the best HomeGoods in every state.
Alabama: University Plaza Shopping Mall in Huntsville
Huntsville is home to two of the state’s dozen HomeGoods locations, but the one in the University Plaza Shopping Mall has the highest ratings. Shoppers show off photos of their finds including neat rows of preppy, oversized throw pillows and curated shelves of woven storage bins that look like West Elm dupes.
5850 University Drive NW in Huntsville, Alabama
Arizona: University Plaza Shopping Center in Flagstaff
Google reviewers pretty consistently give Arizona’s HomeGoods 4.5 stars. But the store in Flagstaff’s ranking rises above the rest in the state with a 4.6-star rating. It sits next to Ross Dress For Less, and this could be the reason why people like it so much. Experts say HomeGoods stores that are paired with other discount retailers are often some of the best because they become discount destinations.

Arkansas: Caraway Plaza in Jonesboro

I’m a frequent HomeGoods shopper who is based in Colorado and wasn’t too surprised to discover that the store I frequent the most is the highest rated in the state. Located in the Cherry Hill Marketplace, this Littleton HomeGoods isn’t as big as others, but it’s usually well-stocked with great cookware and enough bar stools to make a full set. I’ve even found Caraway pans in the kitchen aisles, along with servingware from Portugal.

North Carolina: Park West Village in Morrisville, North Carolina
Designer Windsor Dalton’s tip for shopping this top-tier HomeGoods location is to look for the stores close to preeminent markets and tradeshows to see if you can find any goods that were sold to the store instead of being shipped across the country after a show. By that logic, the best HomeGoods would be 20 minutes away from High Point (home to The High Point Furniture Market) in Greensboro.
