The best accommodation in Wengen
The majority of visitors to Wengen stay in hotels, mostly three- and four-star and varying a lot in character. The main street is by far the most convenient place to stay – some accommodation, including most of the rental apartments, is up or down steep hills from the centre and the lifts.
If splendid isolation in the evenings is not off putting, there are a couple of comfortable places to stay up the mountain - Hotel Jungfrau at Wengernalp and Hotel Bellevue des Alpes at Kleine Scheidegg. The Hotel Belvedere and Hotel Wengener Hof are closed for 2023/24 and will re-open in Spring 2024 as five-star hotels.
For further Wengen inspiration, see our guides to the resort's best restaurants and après ski.
Hotel Bernerhof
In a fabulous position in the middle of the main street, near the cable car and a three-minute walk to the station, the Bernerhof was built in traditional chalet style in 1908. As one of the oldest hotels in the resort, rooms are fairly basic but its location can’t be beaten.
