Though we’re utterly addicted to it, the couples on ‘Love Island’ don’t exactly paint romance in the best light (with the exception of Marcel and Gabby of course!).
Thankfully though, the beautiful story of Ollie and Donald King is sure to restore your faith in love.
The sweethearts have been married for almost 68 years and counting and they’re every bit as in love as the day they met. Awww!
So to celebrate their upcoming anniversary, their granddaughter arranged a romantic photoshoot with photographer Paige Franklin and the resultant images are beyond adorable.
So adorable in fact that Paige wanted to share them with the world.
Taking to the Love What Matters Facebook page, the photographer posted some of the touching shots and expressed how thrilled she was to capture the couple’s love.
“There have been times in my career that I sat back after a session and thought ‘WOW, I really love my job.’ Tonight was one of those nights,” she wrote.
“This evening I got to meet two of the most kind-hearted souls, Ollie and Donald. They have been married 68 years this September. They have lived on this farm for over 30 years where they farm cattle and raise corn, soybeans, and tobacco.”

“Donald has been a pastor for forty seven years, and Ollie has been a (masterful, in my opinion) quilter for over thirty years. (She quilted this piece in the photos many years ago). They have three children, and they are as alive and happy now as I’m sure they’ve ever been. I hope and pray that my marriage lasts through time like theirs has,” she continues.

Paige went on to say that she asked Donald the one thing he was most proud of his wife for.
“He looked at me for a minute and looked at her, and he said ‘There really isn’t just one thing. She’s just amazing all around.’”
