BBC Escape to the Country host reveals sad reason for buyer's move after health battle
Escape to the Country took an emotional turn as Jules Hudson revealed the heart breaking reaction why potential buyers wanted to make their big move.
During Wednesday’s (December 18) episode of the BBC hit show, the TV host was joined by couple Karen and Steve were looking to sell their caravan for a staycation home in the idyllic Wye Valley in Herefordshire.
The buyers sold their West Sussex home with a plan to live out their retirement in their holiday home on Portugal's Silver Coast but now have made the decision to move back to the UK.
Karen and Steve had a healthy budget of £650,000 for a three bedroom detached property ideally on the edge of a village with a community and a local pub. They also wanted a large kitchen, garden for growing veg and it was also important that it was in a quiet location.

Just minutes before they got stuck into the search, Jules revealed that one of the couple's main reasons for their move was Karen’s health.
He went on to say: “Now, I know Karen that recently you were diagnosed with MS so I imagine that has a huge impact on your decision to change life in general.”
Karen looked visibly moved as she explained: Yes absolutely. I had to give up my career but we just decided to do all of the things that we wanted to do now rather than leave it and fortunately, Steve is incredibly supportive and whatever it takes really.”
She added: “So we’re just having adventures now, and then the aim is if we do it all, we’ll just do it all over again.”
Jules then set up a number of properties to view however at the end of the week it was clear that the pair couldn't make their minds up, which left Jules baffled.
The presenter admitted: "Well this week we've given Steve and Karen, I think four really interesting options to choose from and normally at this stage in the process, as our house tours have come to an end, I've got a pretty good idea as to which property our buyers might actually pick.
"But on this occasion, if I'm absolutely honest, I don't think I actually know. Well of course there's only one way to find out,"
While sitting down with the couple to find out what was going through their minds, Jules expressed: "Goodness me guys, now this is unusual for me but I am struggling to figure out what you're going to do next."
Steve joked: "I think we can forgive you for being confused as to how we feel cos I think we are as well." In the end Karen and Steve decided to go to view the mystery house again but decided not to put an offer in.
