Ballerina Farm's Hannah Neeleman Posts Videos of Daughters Wielding Full-Sized Knives as They Lend a Hand in Kitchen
Two of the influencer's eight children used standard cooking utensils to dice up ingredients at their Utah home
Hannah Neeleman is teaching her kids to be confident in the kitchen, even when their recipes require some more advanced skills.
On Monday, Dec. 30, the viral Ballerina Farm influencer, 34, shared a pair of Instagram Stories featuring two of her daughters holding large knives as they chopped up ingredients on a cutting board. In the first clip, one of Neeleman's eight children placed both of her hands atop the utensil as she diced.
"Lunch prep," the social media star wrote alongside the footage, which ended with the young chef using a finger to calmly wipe the side of the blade.
The following video shows another sibling similarly chopping up food for mealtime. "Her favorite thing," Neeleman explained in the overlaying text. Per her following Stories, the Juilliard-trained dancer and her kids worked together to prepare a dish of sliced purple and red potatoes arranged in a pan.
Days earlier, the Utah-based business owner commemorated her 2024 Christmas celebration with a full family photo on Instagram. Neeleman posed beside her husband, Daniel, their three sons and their five daughters.
"My heart has been full today," she began in her caption, adding that she has "so much to be grateful for," including her kids, "who teach me what Christmas is all about."
This past fall, Neeleman spoke to PEOPLE about another holiday that she associates with family: Halloween. In previous years, she and Daniel continued a tradition of taking their kids trick-or-treating in New York City, a big change in scenery from their rural home in Utah.
"It's so different here because our kids literally trick-or-treat on their horses. They just jump on their horses and then go down our county road and trick-or-treat," Neeleman shared in October while discussing the launch of Ballerina Farm's Farmer Protein Powder.
The 2023 Mrs. American pageant winner said her children "love traveling." She added, "I think they inherited it from me. I love to see new things and feel the energy of new places."
Plus, they're "good travelers," the proud mom told PEOPLE. "I don't know why, but they are. They really enjoy eating out and the airplanes and seeing new things, so traveling has been good."
