Azealia Banks slams 'redundant' Drake's reaction to negative review
Azealia Banks has slammed Drake's response to a negative review.
In a Monday Instagram Story, the Count Contessa rapper mocked the God's Plan artist for his response to being reviewed negatively by podcaster Joe Budden.
"Does drake know his nose job and liposuction is not hiphop?" Azealia, 32, wrote. "Does drake know that no one who actually understands hiphop - a culture born from oppressed, don't reeeeeeeeallly care about his soft-toothed colonized confused mixed-race facsimile attempts to exhibit the true authenticity of an actual MC? Does drake know his desperate attempts to gangsterize Candaian (sic) 'street life' is an all encompassing failure in and of it itself?"
Calling her fellow rapper "redundant as hell", she continued, "Only weird nepo babies and Eastern European immigrants who wear USSN polo association coool water and media f**k boys actually care for him."
Earlier, Drake took to the comments section of an Instagram post promoting an episode of Joe's podcast - In which Joe said that Drake's music was catering to children.
"@joebudden you have failed at music," Drake, 36, commented. "You left it behind to do what you are doing in this clip cause this is what actually pays your bills. For any artist watching this just remember you are watching a failure give their opinion on his idea of a recipe for success."
He added, "To any artist that's doing what they feel is right don't let these opinions affect your mindset after the fact... this guy is the poster child of frustration and surrendering.
"You retired and we never hung up your jersey we don't even remember your number. We know you for doing this."
