You're no doubt familiar with Hollywood's most famous nepo babies, shout out to Hailey Bieber who once proudly flaunted her nepotism status in a tongue-in-cheek ‘nepo baby’ t-shirt. Well, prepare yourselves for the introduction of nepo puppies.

Yep, it's a thing following the roll-out of Dogue, a special digital cover project from Vogue that sees 16 covers featuring celebri-dogs to “celebrate the sleepy, pre-fashion month dog days of summer.” You'd be forgiven for thinking the fashion bible has gone barking mad (sorry, we couldn't resist). But, just as some nepo babies were destined for greatness regardless of their famous relatives, we're convinced Ayo Edebiri's Chihuahua, Gromit, was destined to be a cover star.

The Chihuahua mix rescue pup can be seen posing in a red cowboy hat, repping westerncore with ease. We're not sure if dogs can smoulder, but the canine cowboy is certainly giving wuff rider energy in the snap.

All we can say is: Clint Eastwood, eat your heart out.

As with any cover shoot, the publication conducted an accompanying interview with Ayo and Gromit. When asked what Gromit's best quality is, Ayo said of her furry friend, “Gromit is deeply loyal, intelligent, and a host of other things, but to be perfectly frank, his greatest quality is that he looks gorgeous in hats and clothes – and he knows it. Sadly, the fact that he knows it is arguably his worst quality.”

Gromit is hardly the only fashionable dog selected for one of the covers.

Sydney Sweeney's dog, Tank, rocks a pair of sunglasses as well as her stylish owner.

Ciara's teacup poodle, Love Princess Wilson (to use her full name) ensures her chic Gucci knit perfectly coordinates with her glossy, curly coat.

And Demi Moore's micro chihuahua, Pilaf, who has sat front row for more fashion shows than most humans let alone pets, is almost weighed down by her blingy collar.

Meanwhile, Billie Eilish's dog, Shark, prefers to go au natural. Not that we blame him, he's truly a handsome boy.

If canine-core is here to stay – and we really hope it is – consider this our petition for Dog-mopolitan coming soon. After all, we regularly cover our fave celebs and their pets, from Suki Waterhouse twinning with her dog to Simone Ashley and her dog's Myla shared silky hair (coat?).
