Ariana Grande Announces New Album 'Eternal Sunshine' — See the Art

Grande's upcoming seventh studio album is set for release on March 8

On Wednesday, Ariana Grande announced the release of her seventh studio album Eternal Sunshine, which is set for release on March 8.

The pop star revealed the news in an Instagram post with a carousel of photos. The first features the LP's artwork — the red-lipped selfie she previously shared — and the second showcases Grande sporting a cream Peter Pan collar top and holding her hands in sheer red gloves above her closed eyes. The final image features the "Rain on Me" musician in the same ensemble covering her eyes and smiling.

"eternal sunshine 𖦹 ☼ ⋆｡˚⋆ฺ 3.8," Grande captioned the post.

The album announcement comes just days after the two-time Grammy winner shared “Yes, And?,” the house music-inspired lead single from Eternal Sunshine written and produced by Grande, Max Martin, and Ilya Salmanzadeh.

Along with the track, Grande dropped a Christian Breslauer-directed music video, which kicked off by featuring a group of jaded industry folks in an elevator, gossiping about Grande. However, after entering “The Loft,” everything changes, and they’re once again entertained. The pop star's entrance causes statues to crumble and Grande immediately begins a riveting choreographed number and an ode to the idea that her life has become performance art.

The singer-actress initially began teasing new music in December, posting photos from a recording studio on Instagram. She finally announced “Yes, And?” on Jan. 8, much to the delight of her fans — and A-list pals like label-mate Nicki Minaj, who commented, “We are ready.”

Grande released her last album Positions back in 2020, however, the star has kept herself busy with various collaborations in the interim.

In 2021, she appeared on a song with with Kid Cudi from the Don’t Look Up soundtrack, a remix of The Weeknd's After Hours hit "Save Your Tears" in 2021 and a 2023 remix of his Starboy track "Die For You."

She has also joined Jimmy Fallon and Megan Thee Stallion for 2021's "It Was a... (Masked Christmas)," and Kelly Clarkson for 2021's "Santa, Can't You Hear Me."

Last August, Grande marked the 10th anniversary of Yours Truly, her debut album, with a reissue featuring new live recordings.

With a break from her solo music, Grande has has been focused on her REM Beauty brand and her role in the upcoming movie adaptation of Wicked. She also divorced her husband of two years, Dalton Gomez, last year.
