Apparently Tesco Cucumbers Are “Ideal For Valentine’s”

You would think that Tesco has plenty of ways to get in on the Valentine’s Day excitement, what with all those boxes of chocolate, bouquets of roses and hundreds of cards they sell. But instead the supermarket decided to focus their attention on the, er, vegetable aisle.
Last week, a Tesco employee hit headlines after placing an “Ideal for Valentine’s” sign next to the whipped cream and now another branch has caused a raucous after strategically placing the same sign next to the cucumbers. Cheeky.
It’s unclear if the store or the staff are responsible, but it’s brightened our day – and a number of other Internet users. Numerous witty Twitter users have responded to the photo, writing, “Lonely at Valentine’s? Tesco have the answer for you!”. Another person tried in vain to find another Valentine’s Day related use for the veg.
