Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway's return date announced – and it's soon
Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway has had its return date revealed by ITV, and it's really soon.
You might have already guessed the date if you've been paying attention to The Masked Singer UK's schedule, which will air its final this weekend, but the Geordie duo's variety show will be back on Saturday, 25 February at 7pm.
The new episodes will feature Joe Wicks and Claudia Winkleman in 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Ear!', Alison Hammond and Rylan going Undercover, and Richard Wilson, Davina McCall, Joel Dommett, Dermot O’Leary, Keith Lemon, AJ Odudu, Judi Love and Stephanie Cole in new murder mystery mini-series 'Murder at Bigwig Manor'.
Of course, Ant vs Dec, the End of the Show Show, Singalong Live, Ring My Bell and Win the Ads will all return.
ITV released a promo for the new series, with Ant and Dec doing ASMR followed by a selection of recent clips, including their drag performance with the stars of RuPaul's Drag Race UK.
Speaking last year about the reaction to their alter egos Lady Antoinette and Miss Donna Lee, Dec admitted that they were surprised by how well people responded, teasing that they might have to drag up again.
"We were quite moved by how inspirational people found it, and when we had the idea of doing the drag act, we wanted to do it properly," he said.
"We wanted to do it right, and we want to be respectful of the art form, and we didn't want it to look silly and that we slapped on a bit of lipstick and eyeshadow and then walked out in wonky heels.
"But then we got a lot of messages from people saying how inspirational they found it and how it's given people courage to be themselves. That was something we hadn't really catered for. We hadn't really thought that would be the case.
Will we see Lady Antoinette and Miss Donna Lee again this series?
Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway will air on Saturday nights at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX from February 25.
