Anne Hathaway fans are only just realising how old she is – and many are shocked.

Anne rose to fame following her iconic performance in The Princess Diaries as Mia Thermopolis. She then wowed audiences once again in The Devil Wears Prada, which premiered at the LA Film Festival exactly 18 years ago today (June 22).

But despite her frequently gracing our screens, many fans aren't sure how old Anne is. Now TikTok users have joined in celebrating the star's apparent agelessness, with several videos showcasing clips from over the years.

She might look eternally young, but the star is actually 41 years old – a fact that has left some gobsmacked. Social media users have since rushed to celebrate her, as fans think she's simply "perfect".

One internet user gushed: "She looks so good." Another echoed: "Doesn't age at all."

On a funnier note, a third one jestingly called her out: "She's a vampire."

But, despite receiving plenty of accolades regarding her youthful complexion, the Hollywood leading lady does have something to say to those complimenting her for "looking good" at her age. During a chat with Sheinelle Jones of Today last year, she candidly discussed people's usual reactions to her look.

While reminiscing about her rise to fame during her teenage years, she took the opportunity to debunk some ageing myths that were predominant in Hollywood.

"I started in this business when I was 17 years old, in a very different era," she reflected. "There was this perception that there was going to be a cliff, and that cliff was a really young age. And the world's changed since then."

In a frank discussion, Anne didn't hold back on sharing her thoughts about ageing. Addressing the often-heard remarks such as "Oh, you're ageing gracefully" or "Oh, you look so good for your age", she delivered a sassy comeback.

She added: "I don't think about age. To me, ageing is another word for living."
