Angelina Jolie has revealed that she and her daughter, Vivienne have matching tattoos of a phrase which means a lot to both of them.
In a recent interview, Angelina explained that she and her daughter both got the phrase "Stay gold" as a tattoo, which are some of the last words of a character in the Broadway show, The Outsiders.
The mother-daughter duo both worked on the show together, with Angelina as producer and her daughter working as an assistant alongside her mum.
"I got 'Stay Gold' with my daughter Viv during our time with The Outsiders," Angelina told told CR Fashion Book in an interview. "It means so much to us separately and together."
During the same interview, Angelina revealed that it was Vivienne who had first introduced her to the show, through a smaller-scale production in California.
"I was watching it, but I was really watching the effect it was having on my young daughter and what she was telling me about herself," Angelina told Deadline earlier this year. "Viv and I sat together and we wrote down what we liked, what we were curious about. And [the producers] responded to our notes. For me, it was a moment to learn more about Viv, not me thinking of becoming a producer."
The Outsiders became Angelina's first Tony award win for Best Musical in 2024.
