Amy Dowden says you are 'seeing a very new Amy' as she prepares for next career move
Welsh Strictly Come star Amy Dowden has told her fans they will be "seeing a very new Amy" as she works on her new project. Teaming up with fellow Strictly star Carlos Gu, the pair are taking their dancing on tour across the UK.
Posting a selfie of her and Carlos to Instagram, she said: "Tired, body aching but so unbelievably HAPPY! Nearly 8 out of 20 numbers complete!
"I couldn't stop smiling today! In some numbers you are def seeing a very NEW Amy". Amy made her return to the Strictly dancefloor in 2024 after she missed the 2023 series when she was diagnosed and underwent treatment for breast cancer.

Unfortunately, her time on the dancefloor was cut short when she had a foot injury. Her celebrity dance partner, JB Gill from JLS, had to re-partner with professional Lauren Oakley.
Earlier this month, Amy was awarded an MBE and said "it's going to take some time to sink in" after "the most surreal day". You can read more about that here
Amy was awarded the honour by King Charles at Buckingham Palace for her work in fundraising and raising awareness about her health struggles, including living with Crohn's disease since she was a child. Posting about the experience on Instagram, she said: "The most surreal day! Today I was presented my MBE by His Majesty, The King for raising funds and awareness for inflammatory bowel disease.
"The whole day has been so special and one I’ll never forget. I will forever do all I can to raise awareness, help break the stigma and be a proud ambassador for @crohnsandcolitisuk.
The most beautiful morning at the palace, followed by afternoon tea with a few of my dearest, thank you. Think it’s going to take some time to sink in and process today." For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter
