Amazon's No. 1 bestselling Instant Pot is over 40% off ahead of Prime Day

This early Prime Day kitchen deal brings the popular 9-in-1 appliance down to just $75. Hooray for quick, hands-off cooking!

The only thing more satisfying than enjoying a homecooked meal is enjoying a homecooked meal you barely had to lift a finger to make. And while there are plenty of "set it and forget it"-type kitchen products out there, I'd argue there isn't one quite as versatile as the now-iconic Instant Pot.

These pressure cookers do so much more than, well, pressure-cook, from expertly preparing rice to making yogurt and more. It's bananas, I tell ya! Well, maybe not as bananas as this early Prime Day deal I spied, which brings the No. 1 bestselling Instant Pot Duo Plus' $130 price tag down to a mere $75. That's over 40% you're saving!

Speaking of saving, there's already a slew of early Amazon Prime Day sales you can snag before the extravaganza officially kicks off on July 16, including early Prime Day kitchen deals. This is one of the best I've seen thus far, so keep scrolling to see why this gem of an appliance belongs in your cart.

Don't feel like preheating your oven or sweating over a hot stove this summer? Meet your new BFF.

Why is it a good early Prime Day deal? 💰

Our price trackers tell us that this countertop appliance hasn't dipped any lower all year — and in fact, this is only the second time it's been this low in 2024. When you consider how many other devices it can replace — a rice cooker, slow cooker ... maybe even your stove? — it really is a steal. We don't expect this to drop much lower, if at all, so you'd be wise to grab it while it's still in stock.

Why do I need this? 🤔

Okay, there isn't really such a thing as an "instant" meal, unless you count nibbling on cereal straight from the box as "dinner." So, yes, the term Instant Pot is a tad misleading, but it truly is quicker than many other cooking methods — up to 70% quicker, according to the brand. (I have one at home, and I'll never cook dried beans any other way — it takes way too long otherwise!)

Of course, the beauty of this Instant Pot is that you can also cook things low and slow, if you'd prefer. Either way, you'll be able to add your ingredients into its 6-quart bowl, set the timer and move on to another task most of the time. If you want in on the action, you can use the base to sauté proteins and veggies, and it also comes with a rack for steaming. Cooking for a crowd? The roomy bowl can hold enough food to feed up to six people.

Once you get the hang of using it, it's very easy to navigate — in fact, this model has 15 customizable smart programs that'll take the guesswork out of preparing your favorite foods. The display lets you know how far along in the cooking process you are, and with more than 10 safety features, like overheat protection and a locking lid, you can feel confident when you're using it. When it's time to clean, just pop the lid, inner pot and accessories into the dishwasher.

What reviewers say 💬

If you're still on the fence, just know that 34,000-plus Amazon customers deemed this versatile cooker worthy of a perfect five-star rating.

Pros 👍

"There is nothing to dislike about my Instant Pot," raved one shopper. "It has cut my kitchen time by 75%. I do not really enjoy cooking, but with the cost of eating out and food deliveries skyrocketing, you really need to cook more to save money. The Instant Pot cooks things fast, so you can cook a lot one day and set it aside in the freezer for another day. All of my meat dishes are moist and fall off the bone. The flavors are infused into the meat and are delicious!"

"Cooking almost anything made easy!" exclaimed another. "No more are the days of cooking a roast for eight hours. Now it can be done in an hour and comes out just as juicy and tender! If you’re looking to meal prep, this is perfect. You only have to wash one item rather than a sink full of pots and pans."

"I was hesitant at first and unsure of the hype," admitted a convert. "Now, I'm a fangirl of this thing! I live in the desert and we do not like to turn on the oven in the summer months because A/C bills soar. This has become the go-to for making dinner. Highly recommend."

Cons 👎

"It is a bit of a heavy appliance," noted a generally satisfied user, "so it may be annoying if you have to move it frequently to use it, but it shouldn't really be much of an issue."

"My only complaint is a small one," wrote a final fan. "Detailed instructions are not included for every function. They do not include instructions for sous vide, for example. However, it is easy to find this information online. In addition to the versatility, the manufacturer is very good about compatibility. I can use the spare liner from my old Instant Pot Duo 6-quart for this one as well. A great design and welcome addition to my kitchen."

At this price, grab one for you and one to give your favorite foodie as a gift.

Psst: This No. 1 bestselling guide is a handy add-on:

This nifty booklet is like having Instant Pot CliffsNotes, and contains tips and tricks for cooking over 100 types of food. Since it's magnetic, you can keep it right on the fridge.

"I am so glad I bought this!" exclaimed a reviewer. "I've never owned a pressure cooker until now, and this guide is packed with useful information. It's much handier than going online, or looking through cookbooks, to find cooking times and methods for many foods. It also includes important tips [for] using a pressure cooker. Wonderful!"
