Amanda Holden lands 'dream' job on new Netflix show for unfaithful exes in £500K deal
Amanda Holden is all set to present a brand-new Netflix dating show for those who've been unlucky in love, and guess what? You can still throw your hat in the ring!
The Britain's Got Talent star will be at the helm of 'Cheaters: Unfinished Business'. It's not your average dating programme; this spicy UK reality series brings former flames back together at a luxe retreat to figure out if they're ready to bury the hatchet and give their romance another go.
The project is a collaboration between ITV Studios' 12 Yard Productions and Lifted Entertainment, the brains behind the smash hit Love Island. Filming will reportedly take place abroad later this year, and Amanda is buzzing about her new gig.
Chatting with the Mirror, she couldn't hide her excitement, saying it was a "dream come true". She gushed, "All my career I always wanted to host a show about love and relationships this is it! A series about second chances and unfinished business!
"I can't wait, along with our experts, to meet and help these couples work out whether they can forgive and forget. I'm absolutely thrilled to be part of it!"
Amanda is set to rake in a cool £500,000 for hosting Cheaters: Unfinished Business, while casting for the show is reportedly nearly wrapped up. However, couples still have a chance to take part by applying on the show's website before May 10.
The news comes just weeks after Amanda found herself in a heated exchange with former X Factor judge and Celebrity Big Brother personality Sharon Osbourne over none other than Simon Cowell. During her stint on CBB, Sharon, alongside her old chum Louis Walsh, didn't hold back on the banter about Simon's looks, quipping that he'd "need more Botox" after they spilled the tea about him.
Sharon even went as far as to say she wouldn't team up with Simon again "all the money in the world".
Jumping to Simon's defence, Amanda who has seen her career soar since judging on Britain's Got Talent, thanks to Simon slammed Sharon and Louis as "bitter and pathetic", expressing her distaste for their reality show antics: "I hated seeing certain people in a reality show dissing Simon - he's the person who's given them all the chances, given them a lot of money and a lifestyle they probably wouldn't have had."
This prompted an incensed Sharon to hit back with a blistering retort on social media aimed squarely at Amanda. In what turned into a very public showdown, Sharon schooled Amanda with a "proper education" on who she really is, noting that the cash she made from her gigs with Simon "went on a few handbags".
Sharon Osbourne, who has built an impressive family fortune of £341 million with rock legend hubby Ozzy, clapped back fiercely: "The truth is, you don't know me, Amanda, or any of my close friends. You know nothing about my history in the music industry, my achievements, the artists I've worked with, the shows I've produced, and my global celebrity. Unlike you, the brand of Sharon Osbourne is known worldwide."
