Alison Hammond dedicates latest award win to "all the single mothers out there"
Alison Hammond dedicated her latest award to single mothers in a heartfelt post about her win.
Alison Hammond won the Media Champion in the Public Eye award at the Burberry British Diversity Awards on Wednesday (22 March), saying she was "blown away at winning".
In a post on Instagram after the ceremony, Alison said she was "dedicating this award to all the single mothers out there making sacrifices in order to provide and inspire our future generations."
The ITV presenter also revealed that the award was presented to her by Paloma Faith and the pair appeared to have had a great evening together, as Alison said the singer had "cracked [her] up all night."
Alison also shared a number of photographs from the event, including a selfie with her award and shots of her accepting it on stage.
For the ceremony, Alison was sparkling as she opted for a knee-length black sequin dress with a co-ordinating jacket over the top. Alison paired her ensemble with a flawless complexion and glossy lip, as well as long wavy tresses.
According to its social media bio, the Burberry British Diversity Awards were designed to promote, "Equality, Diversity and Inclusion by rewarding those individuals and organisations who help to make the world a better place for others."
Alison is mum to her now 18-year-old son Aiden, who was born on her birthday. The pair celebrated their respective 47th and 17th birthdays together and, in a post, Alison wrote, "Every year it’s always been so special sharing our birthdays - so proud of my son he had the best night."
