Ireland Baldwin has been through her fair share of hair styles; from blue to pink and purple, the 26-year-old has certainly experimented with colour. But now she is experimenting with length for her latest haircut, shaving her head into a buzzcut.

The actress and social media influencer, took to Instagram this weekend to share her new ‘do with her nearly 700,000 followers.

Her newly buzzed hair was shaved down, and dyed platinum blonde.

“Don’t tell me I won’t do something because I will,” Baldwin captioned the two selfies shared on her Instagram.

"This is my baby… Don’t tell her not to do something……. because she will……..[sic]" commented her mother, actor Kim Basinger, on the selfies, in which Baldwin is seen wearing a grey T-shirt that reveals her multiple tattoos.

"i’m a witness to that and have been for many years… Simply beautiful, [sic]" Basinger added.

Other celebrities were quick to compliment Baldwin's new 'do, too.

"Beauty," wrote actor Sarah Paulson, whilst Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness wrote: "So stun."

“Do things that scare you,” added Baldwin on her Instagram stories, as she went on to detail why she went for the chop. “Do things that other people say you'll never do.”

“My hair was destroyed by years of bleach and modelling and bulls*** since I was 17 [sic],” she continued.

“It's long overdue for a restart/refresh,” added Baldwin. “I've always wanted to do this but I was always scared. Now that I don't care about what other people think, I feel more beautiful than ever."

Baldwin also joked “GI Jane/Evey Hammond level unlocked” in her Instagram stories, referencing both the 1997 film G.I. Jane starring Demi Moore, and 2005’s V for Vendetta starring Natalie Portman in which both lead characters shaved their heads for their roles.

Ireland Baldwin also joins a long line of celebrities and models who have gone for the buzzed look. British model Cara Delevingne chopped off her locks before the Met Gala in 2017, whilst actor Kristen Stewart had wanted to shave her head for a “long time” and her role in Underwater as an engineer on an oil rig gave her the perfect opportunity.
