Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria launching reality TV show with their 7 kids – ahead of shooting trial

Actor Alec Baldwin has announced he and his wife, Hilaria Thomas are launching their own television show to be shown on TLC.

Alec, 66 and Hilaria, 40, married 12 years ago and have since welcomed seven children. In the new reality show - cameras will go behind the scenes of the Baldwin household.

In their social media announcement, Hilaria said: "We have an announcement to make," the Yoga Vida co-founder told the camera. Looking alarmed, Alec responded, "Good God, no," which prompted Hilaria to playfully reassure him: "No, definitely not! We're done having kids."

“We're inviting you into our home to experience the ups and downs, the good and bad, the wild and the crazy.” He added: “Home is the place we love to be the most.”

The promo ended with the family-of-nine all standing together as they excitedly yelled in unison: “We are the Baldwins and we're coming to TLC.”

“God help you all” Alec joked as some of his kids ran towards the camera. The show will launch in 2025, according to Alec’s Instagram post and will be his first step into reality television.

Alec and Hilaria will let cameras into their own home as the couple continue to raise their seven children; Ilaria Catalina Irena, 19 months; María Lucía Victoria, 3; Eduardo “Edu” Pao Lucas, 3; Romeo Alejandro David, 5; Leonardo Ángel Charles, 7; Rafael Thomas, 8; and Carmen Gabriela, 10.

The announcement of the television series follows the news that Alec will go to trial in July on involuntary manslaughter which stems from the 2021 fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust.

Halyna died on the of the Western film after the gun Alec was holding during a rehearsal discharged a live round.

Alec will stand trial as scheduled from July 9, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, after a prop gun he was holding went off, killing Ms Hutchins.

The US star will face a maximum of 18 months in prison if convicted after trial.

This was the sentence Rust armourer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed received after a jury found her guilty of the same charge. Her defence lawyer has filed an appeal notice.
