It's almost Burns Night, which means that Scots up and down the country will celebrate the life and works of Robert Burns on Saturday, January 25.

Of course, the evening will include the classic haggis, neeps and tatties for a lot of us. However, a smooth glass of Scotch is the perfect way to toast the acclaimed poet, and Aldi has just the range worth looking through.

Whisky lovers will be able to raise a dram on Burns Night with the budget supermarket's most awarded whisky range to date - the Glen Marnach line. Costing just £17.99 a bottle and boasting 18 accolades, these are not to be sniffed at from connoisseurs.

Shoppers can also toast a dram with Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky that offers an oaky, yet mellow finish. Providing notes of dried fruits and cinnamon, this was another silver award winner for the discounter.

Meanwhile, the Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky has been matured for at least three years and won the highly coveted Gold standard at the International Spirits Challenge. It was also among the top two percent at the Great Taste Awards.

Finally, the Black Scotch Whisky, matured for eight years, picked up two stars at the Great Taste Awards, alongside Bronze at the IWSC. It has been described as a "harmonious blend of finest Highland and Speyside whiskies."

Aldi doesn't just stock bargain award-winning whiskies, as another budget friendly bottle is the Highland Black Scotch Whisky, a little bit cheaper at £14.99.
