Adele revealed the simple way she stops her makeup from sweating off on stage
Anyone who's stood under stage lights will know... it's hot. Add in, you know, being up there in front of a sea of people, throw performing for hours into the mix... it's a recipe for sweat. And sweat is a recipe for ruined makeup. While I've been loving Adele's glam during her Las Vegas residency – Weekends with Adele – I can't say I've been thinking a lot about how she keeps her trademark vintage beat so perfect performing for hours. But now that she's mentioned it, that is a very full-face look that stays miraculously in place.
During this previous weekend's show, she told fans exactly how she makes sure she doesn't sweat off her carefully applied glam. The Telegraph reported the star telling the audience how production installed two air unit fans at the front of the stage:
“You’ll see sometimes my hair looks like a dryer in my face and it looks very elegant and it does the job. I like to sing from the bottom of my soul and my face would look wet right because I’d be sweating,” she said.
In her typical candid fashion, she told the crowd “Well, it was a very nice little gesture. They built a little fan in my riser for me. So I no longer have a moustache when I finish.”
So relatable.
Now we just need to figure out how we can fashion some kind of attachable fan to blow into our faces wherever we go. If engineers can invent voice-controlled lamps and cars that park themselves, they can invent that.
