A Dating App For Pokemon Go Trainers Exists

If you need a beau who understands your calling as a Pokemon trainer then look no further, PokeDates is here.

Forget Tinder, this new dating service allows you to meet other Pokemon Go players and find love while catching Squirtles together.

Instead of trying to make their jobs sound interesting over pricey G &Ts, Pokedaters can go Charmander-hunting together and engage each other in Pokemon battles.

The service arranges for you to meet your date at a specific PokeStop or PokeGym before starting your joint Pokeadventure around the city.

Unlike Tinder, however, the PokeDates isn’t free and will set you back $20 (around £15). Once you’ve signed up, you answer some questions to help the matchmaking team find the most suitable (and geographically convenient) date for you.

The service is run by Chicago dating company, Project Fixup, and is currently only available in the US (sorry, PokeBrits).

“We believe that dating should be about getting out there, meeting new people, and enjoying the world around… not sitting on your computer browsing, swiping, and messaging back and forth,” the PokeDates website reads. “Project Fixup is about OFFline dating, and saving you the hours of time you would spend online to end up with the same date.”

Fingers crossed it won’t be long before PokeDating crosses the pond!
