Yahoo Lifestyle

We all love a good old-fashioned cup of tea - but there are other ways to drink it than just with milk and sugar, you know. Get more creative with your afternoon brew and have a look at these gorgeous drinks. Tea cocktails, iced teas and cosy warming teas, we’ve got them all…

Mango Bubble Tea

This fruity, chilled drink is made using good old black tea - Heather from the blog Sprinklebakes has added some fruity ingredients and boba tapioca pearls to make this beautiful bubble tea. Perfect for summer. Visit Sprinklebakes for step by step instructions on how to make it yourself.

Earl Grey Tea Cocktail

A cool, elegant Earl Grey Tea cocktail for you now, from Eden at Sugar and Charm. It’s spiked with gin and delicately flavoured with lemon and lavender. It just screams summer, doesn’t it? “It has a very mild flavour, like tea with a dash of lemon, a touch of lavender and then lightly sweetened with honey simple syrup,” writes Eden.

Thai Iced Tea

Got some black tea and coconut milk in your kitchen? Then get out there and make yourself some Thai Iced Tea. The recipe comes from Todd and Diane from the blog White on Rice Couple, and they say although it looks decadent and a bit complicated, it’s actually really easy to make.

Salted Caramel Chai Latte

Is there anything that doesn’t work with salted caramel? Probably not. This chai tea recipe was created by Katie, from Katie At The Kitchen Door. Flavoured with spices like cinnamon, ginger and cloves, it’s definitely one of those drinks you want to sip when it’s a bit chilly and the rain’s pattering on the windows outside.

Sweet Tea Sangria

Here’s a fruity little number for your barbecues and parties this summer. It’s sweetened tea mixed with wine and fruits, making a refreshing, if not slightly boozy, cold drink. Find the recipe at The Wicked Noodle.

Moroccan Mint Tea

“Tea is important,” writes Todd at Honestly Yum. “But this tea, this tea is on a whole different level. Forget cocktails, forget coffee, Moroccan mint tea is my new jam.” It’s made by using gunpowder green tea - and the drink is flavoured with mint. You can get all the details on how to make it yourself (and lots more pics, which is always good) on the Honestly Yum website.

Raspberry Green Tea Smoothie

Well here’s a new and completely delicious way to start your day with a cuppa. You’ll need some chilled green tea to make it - along with some raspberries, of course, as well as a few other ingredients. Find the recipe at Recipe Runner.

Moroccan Mojitos

More inspiration from Morocco, this time with a black tea cocktail. It might look innocent enough, but this beautiful drink is flavoured with spices, citrus juices and a drop or two of rum. It was created by Alanna at Bojon Gourmet. Check out the full recipe there.

Cinnamon Yerba Mate Latte

Yerba mate is a green tea that’s drunk in South America. And Julie from the blog Orchid Grey has come up with this aromatic tea latte using it. Julie says it’s “the perfect mix of sweet and spice. It's pretty much the best thing ever on a frigid cold day.”
