Fashion tips from Hollywood's most stylish men.

Hollywood's leading men are no longer content being basic on the red carpet. Instead, they're having fun with fashion and becoming style influencers in their own right.

Stars such as Jacob Elordi, Travis Kelce and Pedro Pascal — the internet's boyfriends, if you will — are embracing trends in a big way, bringing their own unique personalities to their looks both on and off the red carpet. Celebrity stylist Ilaria Urbinati, who dresses some of the hottest hunks in Hollywood, previously told PEOPLE that lots of her clients are "down to play" when it comes to fashion.

"The goal is to keep their looks always evolving while staying true to who they are," she said in an exclusive interview in April 2023.

"A lot of these guys are down to play," Urbinati continues. "They want to be bold."

She adds, "I like to push my clients a little bit out of their comfort zone, but I do think it's important for them to feel like the best version of themselves. That's gonna look different for each one of them."

From unexpected pops of color to TikTok-viral trends, take a look at the best styling tips you can glean from Hollywood's biggest heartthrobs, with advice on how to wear them from pros including celeb stylists Molly Dickson, Zerina Akers and Enrique Melendez (all part of the Marshalls Good Stuff Style Collective — see their top seasonal picks at The Edit Shop).

Colorful Cardigans Are Cool

Cardigans are a classic for a reason, but Jacob Elordi proves that they don't have to be boring. The Euphoria actor charmed fans yet again when he appeared on The Kelly Clarkson show in a butter yellow Prada cardigan in November 2023.

Styled with a white shirt and relaxed-fit jeans, the look is not only breezy and androgynous (Elordi's specialty) but embraces one of the season's biggest color trends. The light yellow shade is popping up everywhere from nails to knits and is sure to continue as spring gives way to summer.

So Are Knit Polos

The knit polo has become something of Urbinati's calling card, having dressed numerous Hollywood stars in the trending item, including Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson who, for his appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show in March 2024, wore this '70s-inspired print in shades of brown and cream.

Simple black trousers and a timeless watch let Johnson's eye-catching knitwear enjoy its moment in the spotlight.

"The best part about this trend is that it is so versatile and gives off an effortless vibe," Zerina Akers, who has worked with Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion, tells PEOPLE. "It can be paired with anything from denim to a trouser, a cuffed chino, or linen paints, and it can be taken from day to night. For an afternoon wedding or even a fancy brunch, try this trend with a textured knit material, rather than a solid fabric, for a touch of sophistication."

Pile on the Accessories

Barry Keoghan has emerged as one of Hollywood's biggest style stars in 2024. The Saltburn actor attended the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars party decked out in sparkling accessories that took his Amiri ensemble to the next level.

The actor, 31, looked dapper in a black and white patterned jacket with a white tank top and loose-fitting black trousers, but his accessories — a lariat necklace, rose-shaped brooch and watch — were the real stars. Keoghan also appeared to pay tribute to his girlfriend, Sabrina Carpenter, by wearing a friendship bracelet decorated with a heart charm and the name “Sabrina” seemingly spelled out with letter beads.

Brooches were a standout accessory for men throughout the 2023-2024 award season. Jeremy Allen White sported a 13-carat diamond Tiffany & Co. bird brooch at the 2024 SAG Awards, while Michael B. Jordan wore two similar Tiffany & Co. brooches at the London premiere of Creed III.

Don't have access to the Tiffany & Co. archives but want to add something a little extra to your wardrobe? Try a curb-chain necklace or layering a colorful bracelet with your watch for entry-level accessorizing, or go all the way by adding a pin to the lapel of a blazer.

Enrique Melendez, who styles Jenna Ortega and Maxwell Jenkins, adds that, for the accessories-shy, a chunky metal ring or even designer cufflinks can go a long way in leveling up your outfit.

Ditch the Tie/Show a Hint of Pecs

The concept of "black tie" has been evolving, to the point where you may not need a tie at all — just take a cue from some of Hollywood's biggest stars.

Jeremy Allen White and Pedro Pascal kept things cool at the 2024 SAG Awards with open-shirt styles. White opted for a ivory Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello suit with an unbuttoned white shirt and black leather boots. His diamond accessories — a watch and Tiffany & Co. brooch — added a touch of opulence.

Pascal channeled a romance novel cover star in a Prada ensemble consisting of a white button-down shirt with half of the buttons undone, classic black trousers and black shoes.

At the 2024 Oscars, Ryan Gosling sported a custom black Gucci suit with subtle metallic piping, a black shirt unbuttoned midway and hot pink socks as a nod to his film Barbie.

For those thinking about taking the plunge ahead of a formal event, be sure to keep body hair groomed and prioritize moisturizer, says New York-based barber John Rivera (whose tool of choice is from Philips Norelco). And, he adds, "use aftershave balm, because anything with alcohol will dry out the skin or cause irritation."

Opt for a Bold-Colored Suit

Black tuxedos are classic, but let's face it — seeing the same suit over and over again on the red carpet can get boring.

The men of Hollywood are spicing things up by ditching classic formalwear in favor of unexpected shades. Taylor Zakhar Perez and Tyler James Williams have taken to dreamy periwinkle suits (Perez at the 2024 Oscars and Wiliams at the 2024 SAG Awards) while Chris Evans matched the carpet in a double-breasted crimson suit by Dolce & Gabbana at the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars party.

When it comes to making bold choices with your suits, celebrity stylist Molly Dickson (who works with Sydney Sweeney and Bella Hadid) says that the key to making even an affordable suit look like a million bucks is on-point alterations.

"The fit really has to be perfect — a tailor is your best friend, trust me!" she says.

Nervous about the cash outlay? Says Dickson, "Suiting is always a smart investment because it takes the guesswork out of getting dressed and you can wear each piece separately for a completely different look. Believe me, no one has ever regretted having a great pair of trousers and a blazer."

Sunglasses Are an Extension of Your Look

Sunglasses are equal parts practical and cool — and Timothée Chalamet knows it. The actor's black shades completed his all-leather look at the Dune: Part Two premiere in New York City in February 2024.

Chalamet wore a long-sleeve caramel-colored leather top tucked into a pair of black leather skinny pants. His accessories — black boots and a classic pair of black shades — amped up the futuristic feel of the ensemble.

Go Full Eclectic Grandpa

Along with fashion icons including Harry Styles and Tyler the Creator, Donald Glover spear-headed the "Electric Grandpa" trend that's been making the round on TikTok. Urbinati has dressed the star in all-knit ensembles that fully lean into the trend — chunky cardigans and all — in bold shades like butter yellow and salmon pink.

"The reason someone like Donald Glover looks good in all these bold looks is because he's so comfortable in them, so he exudes confidence and swagger," the stylist previously told PEOPLE. "Otherwise it wouldn't work."

Melendez says thinking unisex may guide you towards some of the best finds for this trend: "I like an oversized look for these so sizing is less important. Pro tip: Shop both men’s and women’s sections and styles."

Bring Big Bag Energy

In the wake of his Super Bowl win and equally headline-making romance with Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce has majorly stepped up his style. The NFL star has reveled in experimenting with colors and textures and is frequently spotted with an equally chic accessory — and oversized bag.

While the item likely serves a practical purpose, there's no denying it adds extra oomph to his ensembles. As Kelce strolled into the stadium for the 2024 Super Bowl, channeled the lights of Las Vegas in a sequined Armani suit. With black sunglasses and a large black bag, he certainly looked the part of a trophy-winner.

You can get a similar vibe by trading in your beat-up sports duffel for something a little more stylish and structured — it works well as a commuter bag too.
