Baby pillow spray, Ewan the Dream Sheep and vibrating cots; parents will try just about anything to get their little one to sleep.

But one mother reckons she’s found the answer to a solid night’s kip – and it will only set you back £8.

Enter Lush’s Sleepy Body Lotion, a lightweight cream made with oatmeal, lavender and tonka absolute. The brand reckons the combination of the rich, malty and floral perfume will have anyone who uses it sleeping well and Parris Chloee, a mum from Romford, is adamant it worked for her.

Chloee says that since using the lotion on her daughter Ava-Hayley, she now gets up to 14 hours of uninterrupted snooze time a night, compared to waking up five to six times a night before.

“I’d go as far to say the lotion a miracle, especially for me as a working mum,” Chloee told Metro.

“I’m a support worker and I work long hours – sometimes up to 15 hours a day – so I need to be getting sleep. Ava-Hayley is 18 months old and she used to sleep really badly. It had been getting to the stage where I needed to move her into a travel cot because she’d be climbing out of her cot into bed with me and picking me eyes open in the middle of the night.”

The mum claims she had tried ‘everything’ before going into Lush and asking for help.

It’s amazing how the cream has really worked – now she’s sleeping from around 7pm to 9am.”

Other Lush fans have been just as complimentary about the high street brand’s skincare product. “I used to take anxiety medication for 11 years and had to stop recently which was pretty terrible. But I found that using and smelling sleepy can help my anxiety not be as bad. It’s such a relaxing scent and I love using it!” a Lush customer wrote on the brand’s site.

Another happy customer wrote: “I sleep so much better with this body lotion. It’s so moisturising and has an amazing smell. Definitely my new favourite.”

Clearly one worth trying!
