The perfect hotel room features a hover bed with an LED light box headboard, a wardrobe wall, a tablet to control temperature and lighting and a selfie stick to take enviable holiday Instagram snaps, according to the British public.
A micro-kitchen with a well-stocked fridge (no mini bottles!) and a fitness station to enjoy a spot of yoga or lift some weights are also top features for hotel guests.
Marriott Hotels UK designed the 'perfect' hotel room after finding out what travellers really want. The hotel group commissioned detailed research and after a public vote, the resulting 'room of the future' is on show at Westfield London all week.
TV presenter Katie Piper, England Rugby ace Danny Care, gadget man Jason Bradbury, The London Foodie Luiz Hara and super-blogger Victoria McGrath from InTheFrow were enlisted to share their vision of the ideal hotel room for the public to choose their favourite hotel room elements.
Must-haves in the room include a tranquil zone to relax and de-stress away from technology and a large TV with Netflix and in-built surround sound system to enjoy all the latest films in bed. Wifi is a must and an in-room atomiser is the perfect gadget to allow guests to customise their hotel room experience and enjoy their favourite fragrance.
The replica room will be on display in the main Atrium at Westfield White City until 2 November 2014. Shoppers have the chance to explore and interact with it and can win daily prizes including European hotel stays and the Marriott bed.
