A man has been arrested in Glasgow after allegations of using dogs to illegally hunt deer on a city golf course.

Following a search on a house in Swallow Gardens, Knightswood, a 19-year-old was arrested after police discovered three deer skulls and two snares.

According to the BBC, the man has been charged under the Protection of Wildlife Mammals Act and Wildlife and Countryside Act.

Two dogs that are believed to have been used in the hunting, a bull lurcher and a silica greyhound, were not removed from the property, but a decision will be made in court about whether they should be taken away.

Meanwhile, just last month, a small, single-engine plane hit two deer during take-off, leading to Carroll County Airport in Ohio, America, being closed.

According to WTOV9.com two people were on board the 1959 Cessna and the plane came to a stop in a field off the runway.
