17 Best Photocall Looks from the 76th Cannes Film Festival
Sure, the annual Cannes Film Festival is filled with tons of fantastic films and incredible after-parties, but we can’t forget about the glamorous outfits that are as memorable as the movies themselves. Each year the who’s-who of the film industry and beyond shows up in the south of Frances dressed to the nines.
If you thought that the only place Cannes-goers get dressed up for is the red carpet, think again. Photocalls, which are allotted times where photographers can snap publicity photos and portraits, are also full of stylish outfits that will blow you away. Ahead, we take a look at some of our favorites from this year so far.
The Weeknd & Lily-Rose Depp
The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp looked every bit cool during the photocall for their upcoming TV series, The Idol. Directed by Sam Levinson, who is also behind Euphoria, The Idol follows the story of a young pop star who gets involved with a charming cult leader after experiencing a nervous breakdown.
Jennie Kim
Jennie Kim, singer, and rapper of the South Korean girl group BLACKPINK, also stars in The Idol alongside The Weeknd and Depp. The Korean pop star and actress decided on a chic black and white dress with a delicate bow detail for the photocall.

Cate Blanchett
To the photocall of The New Boy, Cate Blanchett wore a runway look from Louis Vuitton’s Pre- Fall 2023 collection. The Australian actress plays Sister Eileen, a nun who runs an orphanage, in the film. Blanchett, however, wasn’t initially supposed to be in the movie—the director, Warwick Thronton, had originally written her part as a priest to be played by a male actor but changed his mind. “The character of sister Eileen wasn’t in the script at that time, but Cate coming along actually made it beautiful,” Thornton told Deadline.
