Aldi enjoys a sterling reputation amongst its shoppers for multiple reasons: its everyday value, its reliable assortment of grocery staples, and its odd aisles full of eclectic wonders that seemingly appear and disappear from one visit to the next. Since Aldi already has such strong brand affinity among its customers, the beloved discount retailer has begun an annual tradition of Aldi Fan Favorites, a survey in which customers list their go-to items and signal to corporate what products should be kept on the shelves. The 2024 Fan Favorites have been revealed, and it’s an eclectic mix that illustrates just how much is on offer at Aldi.

“There is a lot of Aldi love out there, and the Fan Favorites survey gives our shoppers a chance to share feedback on their go-to products,” Scott Patton, vice president of national buying at Aldi, said in the statement.

The list of finalists is valuable market research as much as anything else; indeed, this year’s survey included a category called “Aldi Encore” that solicited ideas for a discontinued item that should return to shelves. (That honor went to the Huntington Home Swedish Dish Cloth, due back in stores this November.)

Here are the 12 other Fan Favorites in 2024:

Charcuterie Favorite: Specially Selected Aged Cheese

This cheese is a 5.3-ounce portion of 1,000-day aged Gouda cheese, and since Gouda has a typical production time of 1–36 months, this product definitely sits on the longer end of the aging spectrum. Expect a robust, almost sweet flavor from this cheese, which can be eaten in cubes as a satisfying snack.

Cozy Comfort: Black Angus Beef Chuck Roast

This boneless chuck roast, described as “naturally rich,” “marbled,” and “fresh,” retails for about $6.79 per pound. Aldi suggests braising it with herbs and vegetables, or it can be turned into sandwiches, tacos, noodle bowls, rice bowls, or anywhere else you can think of to incorporate flavorful protein.

DoorDash Delights: Clancy’s Restaurant Style Tortilla Chips

This category is a nod to the fact that many customers use DoorDash to order their groceries from Aldi. Tortilla chips are, personally speaking, one of those add-on items that always seem to make it into my cart, no matter how I shop, so the inclusion of Clancy’s chips certainly makes sense. The 13-ounce bag sits in the $2.15 range.

DoorDash Delights: Mama Cozzi’s Deli Pizza

No, we didn’t make a typo in the heading above — this category was a tie, and two finalists were named. Mama Cozzi’s is a perennial favorite among Aldi shoppers, and the brand has rolled out a number of pizza styles, including this deli-style pie, to suit every appetite. In 2021, Mama Cozzi’s released a frozen deep dish pizza to much acclaim.

Feel Good Pick: Park Street Deli Hummus

This Pine Nut Hummus has what Aldi describes as a “deep, nutty flavor,” and at a price of $2.85 you can keep a supply in your fridge at all times. Hummus is not only a great dip for crackers, pretzels, and raw veggies, but can also supplement meals of grilled vegetables, chicken shawarma wraps, bagels, or falafel.

Fresh and Fabulous: Tri-Colored Peppers

This 3-count bag of red, yellow, and orange peppers costs $2.19 and can be enjoyed raw, roasted, or grilled. Raw bell peppers have a naturally sweet taste and enticing crunch, meaning you don’t even have to dip them in anything to enjoy a full-flavored snack. But then again, you have some Pine Nut Hummus in the fridge to pair with it, right?

The “In a Pinch” category is a highly useful inclusion on the list because it highlights items that can be enjoyed on the go. At just $3.19, This Chicken Caesar Salad Bowl is an affordable way to get green veggies and 16 grams of protein all in one package — it even includes the fork.

Summer Cookout: Ribeye Steak

This Black Angus Beef Choice Boneless Ribeye Steak is $12.79 per pound, featuring never-frozen, highly marbled beef. While it can be prepared any number of ways, the beef, when cooked properly, is flavorful enough on its own to pair with only minimal toppings, such as herbed butter and garlic.

This Cheesecake Sampler is a full pound of decadent dessert for $5.75, and its heft is designed to feed a crowd of eight. There are four varieties included: two slices each of New York Style, Strawberry Swirl, Turtle, and Triple Chocolate flavors. Why this isn’t already in my fridge is a mystery.

Top Catch: Fresh Atlantic Salmon

This fresh, never-frozen salmon is a great way for home cooks to escape the weeknight meal rut. Atlantic salmon is slightly fattier, which lends a richer flavor to the final dish. For tender results and crispy skin, cook it over high heat with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

The Internet Made Me Buy It: Barissimo Barista Cold Foam

“After millions of social media users showed off their at-home-barista skills and posted about their kitchen café setups, cold foam became an internet sensation,” read’s Aldi’s press release. “So, it’s only fitting that Barissimo Barista Cold Foam earned the  No. 1 spot in the ‘The Internet Made Me Buy It’ category.” It’s basically a can of whipped cream whose flavors are optimized for topping a glass of iced coffee.

Wine Time: Specially Selected Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

In addition to Aldi’s new holiday lineup of beer and wine, there are plenty of everyday wine offerings that shoppers get excited about. One is the Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, which is aged 14 months and whose tasting notes Aldi describes as “aromatics of spring flowers, black currants, forest floor, and a touch of chocolate.” It costs $14.99 and pairs well with blue cheese.
