As a private day school, Thomas’s is pretty pricey. At just over £6000 a term, Kate and William will be spending £18,000 on the little prince’s education each year.

Thomas’s places a lot of emphasis on kindness and respect for all people. The website states: “Our ethos, aims and values actively support the upholding of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of different faiths and beliefs. These are British values which we cherish and which equip pupils for life in modern Britain.”

Thomas’s is located in Battersea; only a 20 minute drive from the Kate and William’s new Kensington Palace home. Alternatively, George could walk to school in less than an hour.

Kate and William will have to shell out a lot more money than most parents, paying almost £400 for George’s first school uniform. This includes an art smock and ballet shoes.

The mythical creature can be found on the school uniform as well as around the school site. Students can also nominate one another for unicorn awards with the winner being the person who has lived by the school’s core values.

Apparently, the school is feared on the field and is also known for its amazing drama productions.

Current head Ben Thomas doesn’t believe in the controversial 11 plus exam, saying it distracts young minds from “the wonders of the world.” Instead, he believes the 13 plus system used by many private schools is the way to go.

The school employs a counsellor to encourage pupils to speak up when they’re feeling unhappy. The children also form an Anti-Bullying Committee.

George will have a new headmaster in the form of Simon O’Malley. The 52-year-old is currently the head of Wellesley House School.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge finally revealed where Prince George will be going to school. The little royal will be attending Thomas’s, a private day school in Battersea.
The choice was deemed quite a controversial one as it was expected that George would attend Wetherby – the same school as his father.
