Duchess Of Cambridge Is Already Chumming Up To Parents From Prince George's New School
Last night's National Portrait Gallery gala dinner might well have been sprinkled with celebrities from the likes of Samantha Cameron to Alexa Chung, but it seems the Duchess of Cambridge was more keen to chat about the school pick-up with fellow parents from Prince George's new school, than champagne and artwork.
During the evening, which saw the Temperley-dressed Duchess meet with artists, trustees and donors in an hour-long tour of the London gallery, the mother-of-two chatted with parents from the pre-prep Thomas's school in Battersea – which her son will attend from September – and couldn't wait to discuss parental duties.
According to the Telegraph, she told the parents: 'I'm not sure George has any idea what's going to hit him.'
Architect Richard Found and his wife Jane Suitor, whose children attend the school, told the royal patron of the gallery that it was a 'great school' and later revealed she was eager to meet the other parents.
'She just said, 'I may see you at the school gates',' said Mr Found.
During the Duchess' tour of the gallery, she visited two exhibitions and studied several unique masks created by designers including Dame Vivienne Westwood and Philip Treacy.
Last week, it was revealed Prince William and Kate Middleton's child will attend the £6,110 a term mixed prep-school mixed prep-school which, according to its website, teaches children to 'be kind' and focuses on sports and drama.
We imagine the school gates are already lined with parents hoping to nab an after-school play-date with George and his mum.
