Zendaya Paired A Dior Jacket And Tutu With Her Engagement Ring
Zendaya didn’t wait long to make her first public appearance after news broke of her engagement to Tom Holland. The actress attended a special screening of Challengers in West Hollywood on January 6, just one day after her Golden Globes red carpet appearance that sparked the rumours in the first place.
It was only natural, then, that all eyes be on the actor's left hand – where, lo and behold, her east-west diamond engagement ring was on full display. Zendaya wore a head-to-toe black look to let the jewellery take centre-stage, pairing a black vintage Dior tutu with a plunging, fitted leather jacket and Louboutin heels. She debuted a new hairstyle for the occasion, too: namely, blunt bangs and a ponytail.

Zendaya hasn’t said anything more publicly about her engagement. A source, however, told Page Six that she hadn’t expected Holland’s holiday proposal. 'Tom and Zendaya had discussed marriage over the years, but Zendaya had no idea he was planning to propose,' the insider said. 'They both value their privacy, so the proposal was something Tom wanted to keep private as well.'
The source added that the couple is not currently planning their wedding. 'There is no wedding date or plans set yet. It’s far too soon to start thinking about any of that yet,' the source said. 'They’re still celebrating the exciting news.'
A source told People similarly yesterday. 'They will just enjoy things for now and won’t rush a wedding,' the insider said. 'They are both busy with work projects.'
That source added that Holland had wanted to pop the question for a while: 'He’s always been crazy about her. He always knew she was the one. They have something very special.'
He is happy the world knows, too. 'Tom’s always had this sweet way of letting the world know that Zendaya is his,' the insider said. 'Now, it’s official—she really is!'
