Zara Tindall, granddaughter to the Queen, has given birth to a baby girl weighing 9lbs and 3oz.
The Palace confirmed the happy news via a statement released on Twitter.
Former rugby player Mike Tindall was present for the birth at the Stroud Maternity Unit.
The baby is the couple’s second child following four-year-old Mia Tindall.
The new addition will be second cousin to Prince George and Princess Charlotte and the Queen’s seventh great grandchild.
The baby is yet to be named but an announcement will be made “in due course.”
The Palace report that The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal, Captain Mark Phillips and Mike’s parents, Mr Philip and Mrs Linda Tindall, have been informed and are delighted with the news.
The new baby is the second new addition to the royal family this year after the birth of the Duke ad Duchess of Cambridge’s third child, Prince Louis, on April 23rd.
