You're not ready for Doja Cat’s 2025 leopard print (!!) Oscars dress
Doja Cat never disappoints on the red carpet, and the 2025 Oscars is no exception. While nothing will top the time she wore a wet t-shirt to the 2024 Met Gala or when she covered herself entirely in 30,000 red Swarovski body crystals to watch the Schiaparelli show at Paris Fashion Week back in 2023, Doja’s Oscars look is pretty great: an absolutely stunning animal-print dress.
Leopard print? On the red carpet?! Sure, it may be one of this season's biggest fashion trends but it's all too easy to make the bold pattern look cheap and tacky. Yet, Doja Cat pulled off the risqué look with ease. We bow down.
Complete with a backwards scarf, per the current scarf dress trend (an evolution from the coat scarf look last winter).
One more pic for good measure...
Before you ask, no, Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn didn’t join Doja on the Oscars red carpet, although they are still going strong several years after she slid into his DMs (manifesting works, everyone).
Okay, so why is Doja Cat at the Oscars this year? She happens to be performing alongside Raye and Lisa in what we can only describe as the girl band of our dreams. While fans initially speculated on social media that the trio would be performing their song ‘Born Again,’ they actually took to the stage to perform a tribute to the iconic James Bond films. The performance was pretty spectacular (watch it here!) but if you now need to scratch that ‘Born Again’ itch (sorry, not sorry) we've linked the music video below for easy viewing.
No need to thank us!
But back to Doja's look for the evening. She followed it up with an even more stunning ensemble for the Vanity Fair after-party.
The strapless custom Balmain look was entirely embellished using coloured beads and sequins to create an illustrated naked silhouette. Of all the naked illusion dresses we've seen, this one will live rent-free in our heads! A tasselled hem completed the 'fit.
This was Doja's fashion night, you can't tell us otherwise.
