This year's Golden Globes were all about the Disney princess dress
For this Sunday's Golden Globes we were treated to a glamorous red carpet display of celebs looking their best, with one clear trend emerging for the 2025 awards season.
Whereas slinky sheer dresses and structured tailoring dominated previous red carpets in 2024, the New Year has ushered in a return to classic old Hollywood glamour with a whole host of famous faces in Disney princess-style looks.
This weekend classic silhouettes reigned with supreme, with full skirts, strapless gowns and billowing fabric for that quintessential fairytale feel. Carefully chosen accessories such as opera gloves and glittering jewels - from garland necklaces to oversized rings - added the finishing touches.
Some of our favourite looks from the night included Kate Hudson, who was the perfect example with a glittering strapless gown and diamond necklace, plus an elegant blonde bun which gave her whole look a real Cinderella feel.
Another stunning example was Zendaya in a beautiful shade of burnt orange paired with glossy Hollywood waves, while Elle Fanning put a modern twist on her princess look with a leopard print bodice on her full, pleated gown.
Pamela Anderson added opera gloves for extra glam points, as did Kerry Washington who went a step further with a statement ring over the top.
Other Disney-inspired details we couldn't get enough of included the satin bow around Emma Stone's waist (note her fabulous new pixie crop too), Alexandra Daddario's feathered neckline (who needs to carry a feather boa if it's already part of your look?) and Zoe Saldana's billowing cape.
And, finally, Amy Adams was also following the trend with her sweetheart, off the shoulder gown and diamond jewellery. Given her experience playing a fairytale princess in Enchanted, it's perhaps no surprise she's nailing the look.
Will the Disney dresses continue to make an appearance on the rest of the red carpets this awards season? Watch this space for our Oscars coverage...
