The World's Most Famous Banana Pudding Is Now Available at the Store for the First Time Ever
After 3 years in the making.
Anyone with a sweet tooth likely knows all about world-famous bakeries like Buddy Valastro’s Carlo’s Bakery, Duff Goldman’s Charm City Cakes, and Jennifer Appel and Allysa Torey’s Magnolia Bakery. Even if you’ve never made it to Hoboken, Baltimore, or New York City, these bakeries have a far enough reach that you don’t actually need to visit their founding cities to try the delicious treats.
The Cake Boss, Valastro, has desserts in stores like Walmart and Sam’s Club; the Ace of Cakes, Goldman, ships his creations nationwide; and Magnolia Bakery, well, Magnolia, does it all.
Not only does Magnolia Bakery sell its world-famous banana pudding online, but it also has offered up the coveted recipe in “The Magnolia Bakery Handbook” and launched a grocery line of banana pudding-flavored cookies—including a new oatmeal raisin variety.
While Magnolia Bakery’s fresh banana pudding and its variations can be delivered right to your door—sometimes even same-day via DoorDash—it’s never been commercially available. But now, after three years of innovation and development, Magnolia Bakery is embarking on its biggest move since its doors opened in 1996.
Magnolia Bakery Releasing Frozen Banana Pudding For The First Time Ever
For the first time ever, Magnolia Bakery’s banana pudding will be available in the freezer aisle. If you’ve ever bought Magnolia’s banana pudding, you know it has to be enjoyed within a few days and can’t be frozen. That’s because the fresh bananas change color and texture once thawed.
However, after fans asked for wider availability of the banana pudding, Magnolia Bakery found a way to create a frozen version that thaws perfectly. The new frozen banana pudding is still made with real bananas, but the formulation ensures the texture and color will remain the same once thawed.
The first-of-its-kind frozen pudding will be available in three flavors, including the original Wafer Cookie Bits, Red Velvet Cookie Bits, and Chocolatey Hazelnut Swirl. Initially rolling out through delivery services like DoorDash, Wonder, Amazon Fresh, and GoPuff, the frozen banana pudding will start as a grocery delivery exclusive. However, we’d like to think, if successful, we’ll see the world-famous banana pudding at more retailers soon. Because who wouldn’t want to pick up a pint of fresh banana pudding alongside their ice cream next time they go grocery shopping?
