Who won Strictly Come Dancing 2024?
The winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2024 has been announced. The four couples in the final, comedian Chris McCausland and his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell, JLS member JB Gill and his professional dance partner Lauren Oakley, former Love Islander and influencer Tasha Ghouri and her professional dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec and actress Sarah Hadland and her professional dance partner Vitto Coppola all battled it out to take home the glitter ball trophy.
Ultimately it was Chris and Dianne who were successful and became Strictly Come Dancing 2024 champions. Chris is the first-ever blind contestant to win Strictly Come Dancing. For the latest TV & Showbiz news, sign up to our newsletter.
After performing three dances in the final on Saturday, December 14 it was the public alone that voted for the winners, as the judge's score did not count. Speaking to hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, Chris said: "It is astonishing, I don't know what to say. I honestly thought I could go out in the first week or two and I know no-one went out in the first week but I thought I still could, we've just lasted and lasted and she has got so much out of me.

"She deserves this so much, every day she is just positivity, she is belief and she is just honestly one of the easiest people to be funny with that I have ever met."
Dianne said: "Chris says this is for me but this is not for me, this for me and you Chris, we did this together... this is for both of us! Not just me, it's both of us, we work together and we did it!"
The Liverpool-born comedian has hosted his own programme on ITV on Saturday mornings and has also featured on panel shows such as Have I Got News For You, 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown and QI – as well as appearing on Celebrity Gogglebox. He lost his sight completely by the age of 22 due to retinitis pigmentosa, a hereditary eye disease which causes gradual degeneration of the retina.
After being partnered with Australian professional dancer Dianne, they both admitted they were going to have to “figure out” how logistically performances were going to happen, but soon impressed on the dance floor.
