Woman Says Partner Accused Her of 'Wasting Water' After She Took a 26-Minute Shower, Sparking Outrage Online

A woman says her partner accused her of wasting water after taking a 26-minute shower — and her account of the accusation is going viral

The woman, who says she and her partner live together, fully detailed their argument with a post on ReAmITheA------ subreddit.

The original poster (OP) describes herself as a "female with longer thick hair" who was in the middle of a "full body shower" that included "washing, conditioning hair, shaving all, washing my body, my face," she said her partner "lost their sh-- over how long I'd been in the shower."

"My partner said they were running the sink for as long as I was in the shower and asked if I noticed how much water was wasted then," the woman recalled. "I asked how I'd be able to hear that run while I was in the shower." To which her partner replied, "Exactly."

She calculated her shower time due to the length of her playlist, which she says totaled 26 minutes.

"I take this length shower once every 3-4 days," she explained. "I don't shower every day (because I work from home), but if I do - I'm under 10 minutes with body washed and hair shampooed for a regular wash."

Having asked readers if she's "the a--hole" for taking 26 minutes to do a "full body" shower, many people spoke their minds in the comment section.

"NTA [Not the a------]. He thinks you're the AH for wasting water but he kept the water running for the entire time? Worst. Water. Policing. Ever," one person shared.
