Woman Asks for '90s Pixie Cut at High-End Salon, Turns Out to Be Worst Haircut of Her Life
Olivia Day, who goes by the username @oliviasutopia, explains how she got a botched haircut
One woman's trip to the hair salon didn’t go exactly as she planned.
In a now-viral TikTok video with over 550,000 views, Olivia Day, who goes by the username @oliviasutopia, explains how she visited a high-end salon in New York City that came highly recommended by her friends.
At the salon, she requested a '90s pixie cut, however, after the cut was finished, Day realized the style looked nothing like what she had asked for. Instead, her new haircut gave off spiky, mohawk vibes. "It looked like I hacked it myself," Day, who's from Brooklyn, says on TikTok, covering her hair with a green beanie. She adds that it was the "worst haircut of [her] life."
Day then asked her hairdresser if he could address the poof in the back and the uneven layers. He agreed and continued cutting, eventually stopping to ask Day what she thought.
"I'm like, 'Oh my God,' " she says, covering her mouth with her hands. "I'm like, 'You’ve got to refund my money and I’ve got to go.' " They agreed and Olivia ran home, took scissors and somehow managed to cut it straight and layer it herself while watching YouTube videos.
