Woman Accidentally Sends Package to Dad's House. When He Opens It, His Unexpected Response Goes Viral (Exclusive)

The moment Jayde Morrissette placed her most recent clothing order with PrettyLittleThing, a popular clothing and accessories brand, she realized she had accidentally shipped it to her parents' house in Maple Grove, Minn.

Right away, the 23-year-old, who lives in Orlando and works at Walt Disney World, texted her parents.

"I remember telling my roommate, 'Oh my gosh, of course I accidentally sent my package to Maple Grove,' " Jayde tells PEOPLE exclusively. "I was frustrated because some of the items I ordered were things I wanted to wear in Florida, and I also needed them for my monthly content as part of my ambassador program."

In addition to her job at Disney, Jayde is an ambassador for PrettyLittleThing. Every month, she receives a stipend to pick out items, and in exchange, she posts TikTok and Instagram content for the brand.

After the mishap, Jayde came up with a creative solution: she decided to ask her dad, Jimmy, 51, if he would film a haul of the clothes once they arrived.

"My dad has done a PrettyLittleThing haul with me in the past, where I unboxed the items and he rated them as I showed him," Jayde explains. "I have to post four videos of content each month for PrettyLittleThing, and I usually do a haul of what I received, while the other three videos are me wearing the outfits."

"So I thought, why not make this my haul video, and then I can make additional videos with other PrettyLittleThing items I already own," she adds.

Jayde says it took her dad just one shot to get it right. The video, which she posted on TikTok with her dad's consent, has since gone viral, amassing more than 90,000 views. She says it's clear from the video that her dad is outgoing and a natural at public speaking.

"I was shocked that the video was getting so many views, but honestly not surprised," Jayde says. "My dad has always been a natural entertainer and the life of the party. Also, online people love when dads get involved with trends, and he really gave it his all. Seeing so many people enjoy it and relate to it made it even better."

"Reading the comments was so fun," she adds. "People were saying they want my dad to do all my hauls from now on, and honestly, I don’t blame them! Everyone was hyping him up. There were so many nice comments like, 'Your dad seems like a gem!' 'He’s the best man. You’re very blessed.' 'Your dad is precious.' It was so sweet!"

"My dad is the best sport ever," she continues. "I might have to make him my official haul replacement."
