Woah. This Woman's Slow Cooker 'Galaxy' Fudge Recipe Is Out Of This World

From Delish

Have you tried making fudge in your slow cooker yet? Because you definitely should. Firstly, it’s one of the most delicious things you’ll ever eat in your whole life. And, secondly, it’s something to do, isn’t it?

Now, as much as we love regular slow cooker fudge, we are absolutely in awe of this new fudge on the block: slow cooker ‘galaxy’ fudge.

It’s called galaxy fudge because it looks like the actual solar system has arrived in your slow cooker to satisfy all your snacking needs. Plus, it is literally out of this world.

We first discovered galaxy fudge when we spotted it on the Extreme Couponing And Bargains Facebook page when member Karen Stuart shared her recipe.

Sharing some amazing images of her fudge, Karen wrote: “Just wanted to share a really simple, cheap & fun fudge recipe using a slow cooker - safe for kids under adult supervision!

“This recipe has become a bit of a weekly occurrence in our house, and the flavour combinations are endless!”

Slow cooker galaxy fudge ingredients:

  • 500g white chocolate

  • 1 tin sweetened condensed milk (397g)

  • 15g unsalted butter

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

  • 4 tubes Smarties

  • 1 bag Milky Bar Mini Eggs.

  • Some coloured sugar for topping

  • Some sugared stars for topping

  • Blue, green, violet and pink food colouring paste

So, what makes the fudge look so glorious? Well, the swirling of the food colouring is the key. You basically add the different coloured food colouring pastes to the melted white chocolate, butter and condensed milk mix and give them a swirl. But don't mix them up too much or everything will go a grey-y brown colour.

Anyway, enough talking – go check out the full recipe on Facebook and get stuck in!
