WNBA Draft Picks Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese and More Proved They Are Rising Stars in Fashion, Too

College basketball stars like Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark entered the big leagues on Monday night during the 2024 WNBA draft in New York. Clark, whose record-breaking performance during the 2023-24 NCAA Division I women’s basketball season earned her first pick, was selected to join the Indiana Fever, while Reese traded in her Louisiana State University jersey for the Chicago Sky.

Caitlin Clark

Clark was the first WNBA player dressed by Prada for the draft, wearing a cream satin skirt suit and rhinestone mesh top. The point guard added on a pair of black brushed leather slingback pumps, a black Galleria handbag and acetate sunglasses by the Italian label.

Angel Reese

Reese opted for a hooded gown by Bronx and Banco, which debuted on the runway during the label’s fall 2024 presentation at New York fashion week. The basketball player’s sparkling frock featured a plunging draped neckline and asymmetrical hem. Reese accessorized with metallic Christian Louboutin heels and a Simon Miller Pill clutch.

Rickea Jackson

Rickea Jackson sported one of this year’s hottest hues — red — in a double-breasted top and pleated trousers by Ellaé Lisqué. The small forward added on black pumps, diamond jewelry and a pair of oversize shades.

Cameron Brink

Cameron Brink channeled the black-and-white trend in an asymmetrical Balmain dress featuring a thigh-high slit and a rosette appliqué at the shoulder.

Kamilla Cardoso

Kamilla Cardoso donned a red power suit featuring pleated trousers and a plunging blazer, accessorizing with black open-toe heels and a diamond-encrusted heart pendant.

Nika Mühl

Nika Mühl wore a black Rotate skirt suit consisting of a cropped plunging blazer and midi skirt. The athlete accessorized with Amina Muaddi pumps featuring jeweled buckles.

The 2024 WNBA draft was held on April 15 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Following the 2023-24 NCAA Division I women’s basketball season, 12 teams across the U.S. selected picks from colleges like the University of Iowa, UCLA and Stanford.
