Winners for National Park Protector Awards 2024 announced
The winners of the National Park Protector Awards 2024 have been announced.
Celebrating the pioneering groups and individuals making a difference, the award ceremony took place at Westminster yesterday (Wednesday 11th December) and saw a win for teen girls visiting Dartmoor, landscape-scale nature recovery, and young people re-visioning the future.
The event was hosted by Baroness Sue Haymen, who welcomed over 100 guests to the House of Lords to meet the incredible people at the heart of change. As the official media partner, we were thrilled to join the event and meet those protecting our National Parks across England and Wales.
"This year's National Park Protectors are an incredible array of dedicated people who truly capture the passion for our National Parks," says Dr Rose O'Neill, Chief Executive of Campaign for National Parks.
"We were doubly thrilled to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act. Our nominees are following in the footsteps of the campaigners and activists who secured the creation of the Parks and show that the future of these Protected Landscapes are in good hands."
The independent charity, Campaign for National Parks (CPN) is committed to promoting the protection, conservation and enhancement of these landscapes for future generations.
