The winner of Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr 2024 was confirmed in the final episode of the hit decor show on Tuesday (30 April).

Roisin Quinn claimed the top spot in the fifth series of the BBC show, with bathroom designer Matt Smithwood named the runner-up.

"This really is a dream come true," Roisin said following the announcement by judges Michelle Ogundehin and Alan Carr. "The whole thing has been the biggest achievement in my whole life."

During the final, both Roisin and Matt were asked to redesign holiday homes on the Blenheim Palace Estate in Oxfordshire with a budget of £6,000. Roisin embraced the idea of "bringing the outdoors in" with leaf-motif and floral wallpapers in bold colour palettes.

Jonathan Adler, a guest judge and renowned interior designer, was impressed by the result. "Wowsers, getting the sense I’m in a space that knows what it is," he said on viewing Roisin’s finished lodge. Later in the show, Michelle told Roisin: "There is no misunderstanding of your signature style."

As well as winning the coveted 2024 winner's title, Roisin has been given the opportunity to design a homeware collection for La Redoute. "Together with the design expertise of La Redoute Interieurs, Roisin has combined her daring colour palette and lively floral pattern to create a beautifully bright and impactful collection," the brand said in a post on Instagram.

In Roisin's words, the collection embraces "a flowy, enchanted floral meadow" which is "bold, colourful and magical." Expect plenty of pretty botanical prints and bright hues across cushions, blinds and table runners.

Series 5 of Interior Design Masters is available to watch on All 4.
