What Are Some Wildly Out-Of-Date Things Your Parents Refuse To Let Go Of?

Recently at my mom's house, I stumbled upon a technological graveyard of sorts — a box of '00s digital cameras, obsolete flip phones, and, of course, a few different iPod generations.

At first, I wondered why she still had all this stuff, but then I plugged in a very filthy old iPod touch, and to my surprise, it played! And it was full of music I forgot even existed. It had no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth capabilities, but it was a literal time capsule.

My mom wasn't actively using anything in the box, but it got me thinking. Are there other parents out there who not only keep out-of-date tech, gadgets, and other miscellaneous items but still use them? So if your mom or dad is out there somewhere using something super old-fashioned — and refuses to get rid of it — I want to hear from you.

Maybe your dad bought a set-it-and-forget-it Ronco Rotisserie in 2001 and still pulls it out once in a while. And the food is delicious, so you're not complaining.

Or maybe your mom still has a landline even though she only gets spam and robocalls, and you have to lecture her weekly about scammers. BUT, you totally understand why she keeps it because you get extreme nostalgia every time you use it.

Perhaps an array of Beanie Babies still lines your parents' bookcase — the Princess Di bear front and center. And yeah, they take up an entire shelf and are just collecting dust at this point, but you can't help but smile whenever you see them.
