Meghan Markle’s First As Ever Products Lean Into British Tea Culture
On the same day With Love, Meghan launched, Meghan Markle shared the first eight products from her brand, As Ever, developed in partnership with Netflix. Per a release from the brand, “The collection is infused with joy, love, and a touch of whimsy. Thoughtfully curated, As ever celebrates intentional living, transforming everyday moments into lasting memories.”
The first products include three different teas, raspberry spread, flower sprinkles, wildflower honey, and mixes for crepes and shortbread cookies.
“As ever is more than a brand - it’s a love language,” the brand's site reads. “Created by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, As ever welcomes you to a collection of products, each inspired by her long-lasting love of cooking, entertaining, and hostessing with ease. This curated collection has been crafted to elevate your every day and inspire moments of joy.”
In With Love, Meghan, Meghan makes crepes in the final episode, and often discusses her love of preserves. “My grandmother used to make apple butter, so I like that because it’s something sentimental, but I think my kids will now connect this to coming home from school and smelling sweetness that wafts through the house when you are slow cooking fruit,” she says, jokingly adding, “There she is, mom’s making preserves again!” Flower sprinkles also feature throughout the eight episodes in the Netflix series.
The first As Ever products—tea, shortbread, honey—bring to mind British tea culture, and are a far cry from the image Meghan’s initial brand, America Riviera Orchard, evoked. The initial trademark application for ARO revealed the brand could possibly sell home goods, cookbooks, tableware, edible treats, jewelry, soaps, cosmetics, fragrances, and more, but it’s clear As Ever is going in a more food-focused direction.
When it launches sometime this spring, As Ever will be available nationwide across all 50 states, and it will continue to expand seasonally.
