‘The White Lotus’ Season 3 Will Be ’Supersized’, According To Its Creator
It's the series that culture buffs the world over are waiting with bated breath for. Ahead of The White Lotus season three's long-awaited release on February 16 (mark those calendars, if you haven't already), its creator, Mike White, has been whetting fans of the show's appetites by claiming that the upcoming series will be 'supersized.'
'It's going to be a supersized White Lotus,' White told Entertainment Weekly. 'It's going to be longer, bigger, crazier. I don't know what people will think, but I am super excited, so at least for my own barometer, that’s a good thing.'

In news that will come as no great surprise to fans of the show, the plot of the third season, which entered production in February 2024 in Thailand, centres on, well, death.
Towards the end of season two, White began dropping some major hints about the third season's themes. 'The first season kind of highlighted money, and then the second season is sex,' he said. 'I think the third season would be maybe a satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality. It feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round at White Lotus.'
Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of HBO Programming and head of HBO drama series and films, didn’t give any specific details about the possible storyline as she announced the season three green light, but she did seem excited about White’s plan for the third outing of The White Lotus.
'He’s only continued to reach new heights in season two, which is the ultimate testament to Mike’s raw, unparalleled vision,' Orsi said earlier. 'His courage to explore the uncharted waters of the human psyche, paired with his signature irreverent humour and buoyant directing style, have us all dreaming of more vacation days at the resort we’ve come to adore.'
The White Lotus season three will premiere on Sky and Now TV on February 16. The season will consist of eight episodes, which will air weekly.
