‘The White Lotus’ Season 3 Just Recast Its Second Role. Here’s Why.
Production for The White Lotus season three is currently underway in Thailand, but there’s been a bit of a casting shake-up.
Back in January, Variety announced that actress Francesca Corney would be appearing in the hit show’s upcoming installment alongside Nicholas Duvernay and Arnas Fedaravičius. However, Deadline reported that The Buccaneers star has been replaced by Canadian actress and director Charlotte Le Bon. Additional character details have yet to be released, but sources close to production told the news site that producers wanted to cast someone “who played older.”

Last month, there was another change to the original series lineup. Deadline reported that Miloš Biković will no longer be part of the award-winning HBO series following a tweet from the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs accusing him of supporting the Russian invasion of Ukraine. In a statement, the network said it “decided to part ways” with the 36-year-old Serbian actor and that “the role will be recast.”
“I was honored to be chosen to be a part of White Lotus, a TV series that I hold in high regard and with colleagues whom I deeply respect,” Biković wrote in a statement posted to his Instagram page. “However, my participation is not possible due to reasons beyond the realm of art and I will not bow to any narrative that seeks to compromise my integrity.” According to Deadline, Bulgarian actor Julian Kostov is now slated to replace Biković in the recurring role of a Russian yogi.
Le Bon, who starred in the 2022 Hulu film Fresh, now joins previously unveiled cast members including Carrie Coon, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Leslie Bibb, and Patrick Schwarzenegger. Walton Goggins, Aimee Lou Wood, and Blackpink’s Lisa Manobal will also join the season three ensemble of The White Lotus, in addition to Thai actors Pataravadi Mejudon and Dom Hetrakul. Most notably, season one alum Nastaha Rothwell will be reprising her role as Belinda Lindsey.
The third installment, set to premiere sometime in 2025, has begun filming in and around Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok. HBO executives, alongside the Tourism Authority of Thailand, confirmed in February that showrunner Mike White would start shooting in February and revealed that the cast will be checking into Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui and the Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas in Thailand.
