'The White Lotus' Producers Weren't Fans Of Aimee Lou Wood's American Accent
Now that filming has finally wrapped on the third season of The White Lotus, information has started trickling in from its legion of stars regarding the highly anticipated upcoming series.
The latest dispatch comes courtesy of Sex Education star Aimee Lou Wood, who admitted in a recent interview that her character was intended to be American, but ended up being from Manchester.

'My character was meant to be American and then I did a self-tape, one in an American accent and one in my own. They were like, "Yeah, we want your own voice," so my character is going to be from Manchester,' she told Radio Times.
The Stockport-born star also opened up in the same interview about the response her accent elicited while she was at drama school. 'They [RADA] said Received Pronunciation was going to be the main accent we needed, so I should know when to dial my accent down, but that’s not been the case at all – if anything, people ask me to amp it up,' she noted.
Wood shared a series of images to her Instagram story on Sunday with the news that filming in Thailand for season three of The White Lotus has now wrapped. The following day, HBO released the first six-second long teaser for the upcoming series.
It was revealed that the actor was joining the cast of season three in January 2024, when HBO confirmed that Walton Goggins, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook and Sam Nivola would also be joining the show.
