The White Lotus fans have already worked out the killer for season 3
The White Lotus is officially back for season three, and of course, just like its two predecessors, the season has kicked off with a death. And this time there's a shooter on a rampage, but who is the mystery killer? Well we've compiled all the fan theories so far, to give us the best idea.
But before we deep dive into the theories, here's a quick re-cap on the season opener. The first episode begins with Belinda's son Zion, played by Nicholas Duvernay, having a guided meditation session with therapist Amrita (Shalini Peiris). However, the peaceful moment is disturbed by gun shots and Zion and Amrita try and flee to safety. Zion jumps into the water below the spa room and while trying to evade the shots he sees what appears to be a dead body float past him.
So who is the mysterious shooter? Well here's everything fans think so far.
Who is The White Lotus season 3 shooter?
Episode 1 theories
The first episode of the series is already full of tension. Rick doesn't appear to want to be on holiday and is obsessed with the owner Sritala Hollinger, but so far we don't know why.
The three friends who have reunited for a girls trip - Kate, Laurie and Jaclyn - all seem to be the best of mates at the start, but it's clear not everything is perfect between them.
And then there's the Ratliff family. Timothy, a financier, his wife Victoria and their three children Saxon, Piper and Lochlan. Timothy is distracted during the trip and wants to be on his phone constantly and towards the end of episode receives a number of calls from the Wall Street Journal.
Saxon is obsessed with sex and tries to pull women in the hotel, but only ends up masturbating in the bathroom, after a conversation with his younger brother about porn. And then there's Piper, who is embarrassed by her family's inability to commit to the spiritually of the hotel, and is there to work on her paper for university.
Of all the characters in the series so far, right now fans are theorising a member of the Ratliff family is most likely to be the one pulling the trigger.

On X last night following the first episode, one user shared a picture of the family with the caption: "This family is so weird, I'm scared." And another replied to it saying: "Calling it now - Saxon is the shooter" and another agreed saying: "One of them is definitely doing the shooting like we heard in the beginning," and another added: "For sure one of them is totally the one shooting like we heard at the start."
We don't have much to go on from the first episode, so anyone could be a suspect right now, but we'll be sure to update you each week with all the new theories 👀...
