It’s the hotel chain that we simultaneously desperate to — and not to — stay at, but if there’s one thing The White Lotus is good at, it might not keeping its guests alive, but it is providing one hell of an experience for all of those who walk through its doors.
Now that filming for the third season of the hit HBO series has officially started (Aimee-Lou Wood, Blackpink's Lisa and Patrick Schwarzenegger are set to star in it), we thought it might be a nice (or traumatic, depending on your take) trip down memory to re-cap on what our favourite White Lotus guests are up to now.
From the first season’s Sydney Sweeney, whose star appears limitless in its ascent, to the sophomoric series’ break-out stars, Leo Woodall, Haley lu Richardson and Adam DiMarco, this is what the cast of The White Lotus is up to now.
Tom Hollander (Quentin) In 'The White Lotus'
Hollywood royalty Tom Hollander of course needs little introduction. The Pride & Prejudice and Pirates of the Caribbean star depicted the evil Quentin with comedic perfection in The White Lotus. This year's first project is no less starry: he plays Truman Capote in upcoming drama Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans.
Hysterically, the Bohemian Rhapsody star also recently revealed that he is constantly mistaken for Spiderman star Tom Holland, even going as far as to admit that he was sent the box office bonus intended for Holland for his work on Marvel's Avengers movie.
F. Murray Abraham (Bert Di Grasso) In 'The White Lotus'
Academy Award-winning actor F. Murray Abraham was fired from the set of Apple TV+ series, Mythic Quest, in 2023, after Rolling Stone reported that the veteran actor received two allegations of misconduct while filming.
In April 2023, he released a statement saying: 'This is a sincere and deeply felt apology. Though never my intention to offend anyone, I told jokes, nothing more, that upset some of my colleagues and as a result lost a great job with wonderful people. I have grown in my understanding from this experience, and I hope they will forgive me.'
Michael Imperioli (Dominic Di Grasso) In 'The White Lotus'
The Sopranos star, Michael Imperioli needs little introduction, of course. Having bagged an Emmy in 2004 for his role as Christopher Moltisanti in the crime drama, Imperioli was cast in a legion of supporting roles before bursting back onto people's radars with his role as patriarch Dominic Di Grasso in The White Lotus.
In the months following the second season's release, Imperioli moved back to New York City with his wife and opened Scarlet, a bar and restaurant on the Upper West Side.
Will Sharpe (Ethan Spiller) In 'The White Lotus'
Actor-director, Will Sharpe, won a Bafta for his performance in 2019's Giri/Haji before starring as Ethan Spiller in The White Lotus. The Camden-born star's next steps will be around his hometown in Lena Dunham's next project: a romantic comedy for Netflix called Too Much, which will be 10 episodes long. The series will follow a couple's young journey and see them ask the fateful question – do Americans and Brits speak the same language?
